L'azienda è stata creata nel 1994. Nel 1995 è già riuscita a sviluppare parti di motore ad alta tecnologia, come gli ingranaggi degli alberi a camme Honda regolabili con CNC. Dal 1997, Skunk2 fornisce componenti Honda. In seguito, l'azienda ha prodotto il primo collettore di aspirazione in alluminio fuso ad alte prestazioni specifico per Honda. Ora l'azienda è impegnata nello sviluppo di componenti per motori e alberi a camme basati sulle tecnologie Fast Ramp e Amax. Sminkpower spedisce i prodotti da corsa SKUNK2 in tutta Europa.
