Yritys perustettiin vuonna 1994. Vuonna 1995 se on jo onnistunut kehittämään korkean teknologian moottorinosia, kuten CNC-säädettäviä Hondan nokka-akselin hammaspyöriä. Vuodesta 1997 lähtien Skunk2 on toimittanut Hondan osia. Myöhemmin yritys valmisti ensimmäisen Honda-kohtaisen, korkean suorituskyvyn valetun alumiinisen imusarjan. Nyt yritys on mukana kehittämässä Fast Ramp- ja Amax-teknologioihin perustuvia moottorinosia ja nokka-akseleita. Sminkpower toimittaa SKUNK2-kilpailutuotteita kaikkialle Eurooppaan.
